Grant Featherston Ty Wingback Chairs
(c.1957) These particular Ty Wingback chairs were manufactured by the original Bendix company, with the Bendix label still showing on the chairs, after they were reupholstered in this lovely wool textile some years ago. The upholstery and frames were reconditioned and are as new, in excellent condition.
Designed by Grant Featherston, these chairs are rare, highly sought-after collector's items within the Australian vintage market, constructed with contoured plywood seat and backrest, fully upholstered with Australian made foam and finished with topstitch detailing. The chairs are supported by a durable powder coated solid steel rod frame.
