Fine merino yarn has been woven with silk to create a supremely soft textile that resembles the luxury of Cashmere. The merino & silk shawl is fine, lightweight and warm. Composition: 85% Merino Wool / 15% Silk

ARTWORK

Heirloom Fibrecraft blends a passion for photography, natural landscapes and floral compositions to create textile designs with 'biophilic' aesthetics or to communicate an environmental message about endangered Australian species. 

'Goanna' design is inspired by a trip to Kangaroo Island where the incredible vegetation and landscape provided me with volumes of photographic material. Sadly, due to the poorly managed tourism industry on the island, there was a great deal of wild life road kill. This seems absurd to me when people visit the island to witness the rare species and unique natural habitats.
