Fine merino yarn has been woven with silk to create a supremely soft textile that resembles the luxury of Cashmere. The merino & silk shawl is fine, lightweight and warm. Composition: 85% Merino Wool / 15% Silk

ARTWORK

Heirloom Fibrecraft blends a passion for photography, natural landscapes and floral compositions to create textile designs with 'biophilic' aesthetics or to communicate an environmental message about endangered Australian species. 

'Sea Lions' design is inspired by a trip to Kangaroo Island where we witnessed the last of these spectacular creatures, endemic to Australia. Australian Sea-lions are one of the few ‘eared’ seal species, with external ears. Also known for their ability to ‘walk’ on land, using their front flippers to hold themselves up and their back flippers to help them ‘walk’ on land.
