European Walnut (Clear oil)

Artisan's solid European Walnut with clear 'natural oil' finish is one of our best selling timber species. Walnut timbers appeal to many people who appreciate century old, historical and traditional furniture craft. 

The deep, rich characteristics of European Walnut are warm and deeply appealing. Currently, we are noticing interiors with a mixture of timbers which may include both Oak and Walnut to create a sense of depth and intrigue within the space. 

European Walnut can often be difficult to tell apart from say American Walnut however European Walnut offers some subtle pink-red-purple undertone hues.  Of course, knots or burl in the timber grain are also a natural and glorious phenomenon in Artisan timbers.
