Natural textiles, yarns, dyes, needle craft and digital media are applied and assembled into creative accessories by Kim Shipton. Traditional and contemporary craft concepts have been woven together for over 10 years of design expression and sold through national boutique stores, galleries, art events and for merchandise at special events that include Opera Australia. Kim's longterm passion for sustainable design stems from her degree in environmental studies and earlier interests in Permaculture (which spawned her love for plants and natural dyes). Selecting sustainable resources is a standard design principle for Heirloom Fibrecraft.
