Heirloom Fibrecraft is seeking a permanent Part Time Sales Assistant for Monday and/or Saturday shifts (typically 5 hours per day). The successful team member will be professional, mature minded and enjoys customer service. A passion for craft, textiles and/or interior design is essential. Essential criteria:
- proven experience in retail sales within fashion, homewares, gifts, art gallery, design or creative businesses
- excellent customer service and people management skills
- capable in effective decision making skills
- an aptitude for business
- a flair for merchandising
- team player and willingness to achieve the necessary goals within the business
- computer skills in MS Office
Desirable background knowledge and skills :-
- Sales/Marketing qualifications
- Graphic design skills to assist with newsletter composition, social media posts, web
- Interest in photography, sustainable design, floristry, Australian native plants and nature
- Experience in social media
- Understanding of fine arts and/or craft
- Database and mailing list management
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greeting clients and assisting with sales transactions, custom orders and/or enquiries
- Assisting the retail manager with all areas of retail business operations
- Compiling customer data and product information
- Assisting with social media and newsletter compilation
- General retail merchandising, store presentation and maintenance
